ISDN trace via the Embedded Web Server

How do I make an ISDN or CAS trace via the Embedded Web Server

To get started making an ISDN / CAS trace via the Embedded Web Server (Version 4.2GA and up), take these steps:

Use the latest UDP2File (this is mandatory). Use the attached UDP2File below, in case you don’t have it.

Access the web page: http://xx.xx.xx.xx/PSTNTraces

Configure the Password: Admin

Configure the User Name: Admin

To collect an ISDN\CAS trace via the web, take these steps:

In the WEB page set the trace level of each trunk. Unless it says otherwise, please set:

  • For CAS trace: acFULL_TRACE.
  • For ISDN trace: acFULL_TRACE.
Enable the trace via the web (Configure the parameter ‘Enable PSTN Trace From Web’ = On).

Determine the UDP port.

Don’t click SUBMIT yet!
  • Run the UDP2File utility.
  • Configure the trace file name. For example: xyz.dat
  • Determine the UDP port (the same as in step 3) (refer to the screen capture below).
  • Check the PSTN Trace checkbox (refer to the screen capture below).
  • Click the ‘Go’ button (refer to the screen capture below); the UDP2File utility begins collecting the trace messages
  • In the web page, click SUBMIT; the device starts to send trace messages. To verify this, alternately connect and disconnect the E1\T1 cable. In the UDP2File utility, you’ll see the packets counter increasing and decreasing accordingly.
  • Send the dat file for diagnosis to AudioCodes Support as follows: For CAS trace: CASxyz.dat (generated automatically) and For ISDN trace: xyz.dat (the same name you configured in step 5).
