To make a DSP debug recording (Version 4.2), follow Procedure 1 and 2:
Procedure 1:
Enter the IP address of the device in Internet Explorer™ (as a web site). For example: http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/FAE (case sensitive). The screen displayed below should open in your browser: If required, use the usual user name and password (Admin, Admin).
Press on the link ‘Packet Recording’
Enter User and Password:
User = FAE (case sensitive)
Password: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxxAdmin (case sensitive)
The xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of the unit. If you changed your initial password from Admin to something else, it should be: Password: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
The ‘Debug Recording Page’ (below) is opened in your browser:
Configure the following fields:
- Channel Numbers - the channel (CID) that you want to record from.
- To record a range of CIDs. For example 0-119 (for 120ch recording). Not recommended to use, since board/module is overloaded.
- Record Points - the type of packets which will be recorded. Select them all.
- Port - a number, for example, 2428
- Press ‘Apply New Settings’
- Press ‘Record’ to start sending debug packets to port 2428 of UDP2File. Press ‘Stop’ to stop sending debug packets.
- Each time you want to change the ‘Channel Numbers’ values after entering the new values, press ‘Apply New Settings’ and the ‘Record’ button to start with the new values.
Procedure 2:
Run the UDP2File application (embedded in this doc file):
You’ll view the following screen:
Configure the following fields:
File Name - a file that the packets will be recorded in.
Port - the UDP port should be the same as configured in the ‘Debug Recording’ web page.
Don’t check the ‘PSTN Trace’ and ‘Payload Only’ checkboxes.
Press the ‘Go’ button; the number of ‘Packets’ is increased and the Record.dat file is generated in the same directory that the UDP2file is located.
Press ‘Pause’ to stop recording and ‘exit’ from the UDP2FIlE application. You’ve now successfully made a DSP recording.
General Notes
Users can start with Procedure 2 and then move to Procedure 1 if you don’t want to miss any packets.
Make a recording when the voice/tone is playing. You must record only when the channel is configured for G711Alaw
